THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the placement of purchase orders, planning, expediting and other purchasing functions required to support manufacture of products.Duties include:

Place Purchase orders and Supplier Schedules for production parts, supplies, services and tooling.
Assure purchase orders and Supplier Schedules comply to all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations as well as Uniform Commercial Code and Federal Acquisition Guidelines.
Assure orders are met and expedited as necessary to assure delivery performance to planned schedules.
Participate in supplier selection for new source development.
Maintain accuracy of purchasing data on company database.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

Minimum of 3 (three) years experience in purchasing
Bachelors degree in related field preferred (strongly desire degree in supply chain management)
Knowledge of MRP
Knowledge of contract preparations, UCC, and FAR
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
Metals purchasing experience preferred
Local candidates preferred

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
