The incumbent works within a general outline of work to be performed, and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides customer service in person and over the telephone; Provides information to customers regarding billing, parking tickets, street parking, special events, etc.
; Keys payments for IFAS; Runs bad debt and refund reports for accounting; Provides assistance with special event parking; Assists supervisor as needed; Processes mail; Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance regarding areas of responsibility; Performs general administrative / clerical work as required, including but not limited to preparing reports and correspondence, copying and filing documents, entering and retrieving computer data, attending and conducting meetings, etc.
; Attends meetings, training, etc.
, as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skills; and Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
High school diploma or GED; Two (2) year of relevant prior experience; Valid South Carolina Class D Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and/or calculating ratios, rates and percentages; Knowledge of personal computer equipment with skill in use of Microsoft Office 2000 preferred, utilizing Outlook and word processing software programs; Ability to synthesize or integrate analysis of data or information to discover facts or develop knowledge or interpretations; changes policies, procedures or methodologies based on new facts, knowledge or interpretations; Ability to negotiate, exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policy and programs or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions; Ability to handle or use machines, tools or equipment requiring brief instruction or experience, such as computers for data entry, fax machines, copiers, telephones or similar equipment; may service office machines, including adding paper and changing toner; Ability to perform work involving the application of principles of logical thinking to diagnose or define problems, collect data and solve abstract problems with widespread unit or organizational impact; Ability to read journals, manuals and professional publications; speaking informally to groups of co-workers, staff in other organizational agencies, the general public, people in other organizations; presenting training; composing original reports, training and other written materials using proper language, punctuation, grammar and style; Ability to perform entry-level professional work including basic data analysis and synthesis, report creation, process performance, and regulatory or compliance activities.
Work involves statistics, operations analysis, or forecasting; and Ability to make decisions, affecting the organization, related organizations and major segments of the general population; works in an evolving environment with emerging knowledge and technologies, competing priorities, and changing politics.
Responsible for long-range goals, planning and methodologies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is considered light in nature and involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects or routine keyboard operations.
The work requires the following physical abilities to perform the essential job functions:
fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, lifting, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, and walking.

Work environment involves exposure to no known environmental hazards; and is dynamic that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities, and needs.
