Summary:
Brady Corporation is looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of Electrical Engineers responsible for the electrical designs in Brady's printing system products. They will define the technology roadmap for the printing system product line and are responsible for maintaining current product lines. The Electrical Engineering Manager plans and directs the activities of the Electrical Engineering team to develop and/or source complex thermal transfer printing products and associated equipment. They will facilitate the transfer of technologies throughout various areas of the organization, conduct research studies, develop technology, improve designs, evaluate new products, review and analyze technical literature and stay current on related issues and technical data. This function often calls for the development and application of new or unique approaches. Essential Duties Define, develop and implement a strategic product technology roadmap for electrical components, communication technology, and printed circuit board design Responsible for managing research and development efforts and Electrical Engineering staff Support architecture activities to maximize reuse, reduce time to develop new products, and improve quality of Brady products Assign and manage resources to support project priorities defined by Director of Systems Engineering Develop the Electrical Engineering project requirements and resource plan to achieve market requirements (cost, quality and schedule) for all new product development Transfer Electrical Engineering projects from R&D to production through supplier qualification, prototype builds, and manufacturing support Support sustaining engineering for printing system products to maintain the ability to manufacture and correct product problems within the scope of product specification. Continuous improvement and governance of R&D and NPD processes for the EE team to achieve increasing productivity, innovation, growth, and quality. Coach and mentor electrical engineers, including providing career development planning and opportunities Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 7
years engineering, new product development, or related experience. 2
years in technical lead, department management, supervisory, or project management experience. Experience working with cross functional engineering teams Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Solid understanding of commercial product development lifecycle and electrical component lifecycle for industrial products and applications. Experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies Experience in a manufacturing environment with industrial products Experience supervising direct reports
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
