Key Duties Interpreting and diagnosing radiographic images, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans.
Performing a variety of imaging procedures, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, and ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient during the procedure.
Communicating findings and recommendations with other veterinary professionals, including veterinarians, technicians, and pet owners.
Staying current with advances in veterinary radiology, including new imaging techniques and technologies.
Maintaining accurate and complete patient records, including radiographic images and reports.
Collaborating with other veterinary specialists, as needed, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participating in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including radiation safety regulations.
Providing guidance and training to veterinary students and other professionals, as needed.
Maintaining a high level of professional ethics and standards, and demonstrating a commitment to the welfare of animals.

Excellent diagnostic and interpretive skills for radiographic images, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans.
Board certification or eligibility for certification in veterinary radiology from the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI).
Strong knowledge of veterinary anatomy, physiology, and radiology.
Current veterinary license in good standing in the state where the individual will be practicing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
Experience working with veterinary patients and a strong understanding of veterinary medicine.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to other veterinary professionals and pet owners.
Completion of a recognized veterinary radiology residency program, or equivalent post-graduate training in veterinary radiology.
