Group health insurance, generous vacation and leave policies, 401k plan Position Overview New Morning seeks a motivated and highly organized individual to join its Columbia-based team as a full-time Training Coordinator.
New Morning is a 20-year old nonprofit that leads a statewide contraceptive access program in which more than 140 clinics participate (www.
NoDrama.
org).
Best practice trainings are designed to increase the knowledge and skills of the participating clinics' workforces, including physicians and nurses, to deliver high-quality contraceptive services.
A variety of trainings are offered through webinars, online modules and in-person instruction.
The Training Coordinator will work under the direction of the Capacity Development Manager and assist in the planning and execution of all training events, including clinic-based and regional events, which will require some in-state travel (vehicle provided).
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating venues and other logistics, recruiting speakers, collecting information required for accreditation, promoting trainings within the clinical network, processing registrations and managing registrants' data through an online learning management system (system training provided).
Major Qualifications & Attributes Sought A bachelor's degree in public health, social work, public administration, communication or a related field.
At least 2-3 years of professional experience, ideally related to project management, training communication and/or event planning.
Highly organized and able to work autonomously to define and complete tasks and projects.
Demonstrates excellent attention to details.
Demonstrates strong listening, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Ability to foster relationships with diverse team members and external stakeholders.
Communicates in a consistently respectful, professional manner with people and agencies external to New Morning.
Supportive of professional development, constructive feedback and collaboration.
Regular travel is required for this position and the candidate must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Occasionally, overnight travel is required.
