The ideal apartment maintenance technician would be someone with experience in apartment/residential maintenance or related fields.
The technician must be professional, organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
They must be able to perform all aspects of apartment maintenance, including all responsibilities identified below.
All apartment maintenance technicians must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a willingness to commute to and from work regularly.
_ Work Location:
Palmetto Terrace Apartments - 3021 Howell Ct.
, Columbia, SC 29203_ Prepare vacant units for market, including painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repairs.
Perform routine repairs, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, electrical, painting, and drywall.
Obtain bids from vendors for routine work and order shop materials.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
Perform on-call emergency work as required (on a shared basis).
Prioritize and organize work orders, capital improvements, and vacant units.
All other relevant job duties as assigned by on-site and regional management.
Employment Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must own and be able to use basic tools required for the job Lift/move up to approximately 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Must be able to work on feet for 8
hours per day EPA, OSHA, or related skilled trade certifications (HVAC 608 EPA-universal preferred ) 3-5
years of residential/apartment maintenance experience HVAC experience installing and troubleshooting common issues Plumbing and electrical troubleshooting experience Advanced carpentry skills and ability to install and maintain doors, windows, wood siding, drywall, and cabinets Potential Perks of Employment:
