Job Description:
The Dosing Nurse is responsible for assisting in all areas of patient care, including physicals, and necessary test in conjuncture with State and Federal law.
Assisting patients with the medical care required during their treatment as directed by Medical Director, providing counseling activities and assisting in Pharmacy operations on an as needed basis.
Must be able to discuss and/or counsel patients relating to their medication regiment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned.
Responsible for carrying out the Clinic Physician's orders regarding administration of medication, i.
e.
Methadone.
, Suboxone or Subtex Completes physical examinations, procedures lab specimens and records the results of the test, presents medical forms for the clinic physician's evaluation, consultation, and signature.
Attending staff meetings for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment improvement of patients Prepares reports and performs other duties as the position may require (i.
e.
, Caseloads of special needs patients.
Etc.
) Ensures medical waste products are properly disposed of and in a timely manner.
Assist pharmacist as necessary in administering methadone to the patients.
Assist pharmacist with preparation of labeling preparation process and runs necessary reports.
Assist Clinic Director in monitoring annual TB/physical requirements for patients and staff.
Assists patients in referral services for other medical issues (co-occurring illnesses) and other medical needs.
Emergency Medical Response required.
Continuous quality improvement (Conduct in-service & patient education) Coordinates care with clinical and medical staff Ensures our orders comply with State Regulations and HIPAA Standards Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or
Experience:
Requires a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) registered in the state of operation and graduated from an accredited school of nursing with at least one year experience as a RN/LPN.
Experience in the field of addictions is preferred but not necessary.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, mean, mode and median ability to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
