Job Description Bring your previous purchasing experience & analytical ability to the Precoat team.
In this collaborative role, you will be a pivotal member of the purchasing team, supporting both tactical and strategic activities.
You will analyze historic data to support planning and procurement activities for indirect spend and assigned commodities.
As a valued contributor, you will manage relationships with leaders and assist in navigation of the sourcing processes.
Additionally, you will manage the day-to-day operations of both industrial and office properties that Precoat subleases on our Columbia campus.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Data analysis & reporting.
Assess operational inefficiencies, devise solutions, and submit IT changes to improve company processes with support of plant management.
Utilize analytical tools to help identify commodity sourcing strategies & develop opportunities to minimize waste and leverage overall costs.
Drive supplier bidding process by providing data and recommendations based on estimated planning needs.
Initiate & manage negotiations for plant and corporate level contracts.
Work with suppliers, manufacturing and quality on cost reduction initiatives.
Oversee the end-to-end process of initiating and managing purchase orders (POs), while ensuring that all PO requests are documented, properly assigned, and effectively executed in a timely and professional manner.
Cultivate relationships with property tenants and act as a liaison for Precoat.
Coordinate with tenants to schedule regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning of the properties.
Monitor and review work performed by vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual agreements.
Address any issues or concerns related to the quality or timeliness of work performed and take appropriate corrective actions.
Conduct periodic evaluations of vendors to assess their performance and make recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.
Work with management to create/manage capital justifications.
Work with the accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments related to vendors.
Special Projects as assigned.
Qualifications If you have a Bachelor's degree along with 3-5 years of experience in a fast paced, collaborative purchasing role and have property management experience joining Precoat is a great career move.
