Job Responsibilities Plans, organizes, controls, supervises, administers and completes, directs and coordinates through subordinates and supervisors necessary work to ensure competent installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and related equipment and systems at all institutions and facilities throughout the State.
Supervise and assist in the preventive maintenance of emergency repairs of and installation of new HVAC systems; related equipment and systems.
Installation, operation and maintenance of plumbing and sewage disposal systems.
Review and approve requisitions and prepare specifications for materials and/or replacement as needed.
Must be able to repair/replace all underground piping, chill water, hot water heating and water mains and sewer to include ductile, carbon steel, PVC and C900 piping.
Must be able to pipe weld and fit pipe.
Needs to know general construction plumbing to include roughing, setting fixtures and minor plumbing repairs.
Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A High School diploma Experience directly related to the area of employment.
Must possess a valid South Carolina class ''A'' CDL (commercial driver's license) or must obtain within six (6) months of date of hireAdditional Comments (This is a temporary position paid at an established hourly rate for hours worked.
