Work that makes a difference!Embracing Service, Inspiring Innovation, Promoting Teamwork, Pursuing Excellence, and Advancing EquityThis position is needed to support the IIS team with corrective action and preventive data quality intervention efforts on in coming and existing data throughout the immunization program.
Collaborates with regional and central office staff to assure effectiveness and efficiency in provision of services.
Participates as a member of the Immunization Data and Information Systems Unit.
Assure compliance with immunization laws, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Generate from Statewide Immunization Online Network (SIMON) the report entitled Patients with Possible Duplicate Vaccinations to identify patients for review.
Reviews SIMON patient immunization records with vaccine duplication, and as appropriate, manually modifies data to correct record.
Conducts quality improvement measures with enrolled SIMON providers/clinics to determine the root cause of data quality issues.
Works in conjunction with nurse consultants in the division regarding complex immunization status clients.
Provides provider education to address data quality needs, as applicable.
Participates in IIS team meetings, as applicable and will provide coverage for daily IIS helpdesk as a backup to the user support manager.
Attends/participates in scheduled trainings, workshops, in-services, and meetings as appropriate.
Performs emergency duties as assigned as outlined in DHEC emergency plans.
Minimum and Additional Requirements State Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
