IIS Management:
Draft and scope requirements for new or enhanced immunization registry functionalityServe as liaison with solution vendor related to system performance, releases, product quality, and system enhancements.
Serve as a liaison to the immunization program, end users, and/or solution vendor to identify and resolve technical issues.
User Support:
Oversee user support, training, reporting and user acceptance testing efforts throughout the immunization program.
Interoperability:
Oversee interoperability efforts throughout the immunization program and work with EHR vendor/provider and other systems requiring interoperability or reporting.
Data Quality:
Oversee and coordinate data quality efforts throughout the immunization program.
Provide deep technical understanding of the IIS, database, user interface, report queries, HL7 and transport technologies, etc.
Oversee technical maintenance and enhancements to IIS system.
Data Analysis:
Oversee IIS data analysis to support the assessment of immunization coverage among population and responses to data requests, data reporting requirements, and special studies.
Other duties as assigned to include public health preparedness activities during hazardous weather or declaration of an emergency as outlined in the DHEC Emergency plans, to include staffing of shelters on site or in other areas of the state.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
In lieu of bachelor's degree, an associate degree and five (5) years of relevant progressive experience and two (2) years of supervisory experience, or a high school diploma and ten (10) years of relevant progressive program experience and five (5) years of supervisory experience.
