Job Responsibilities This position reports to the Unemployment Insurance Division located in Columbia.
In compliance with Federal program requirements, the Eligibility and Records Reviewer is responsible for providing claimants with quality reemployment services for the purpose of assisting them to quickly reenter the workforce and reduce the duration of filing for unemployment insurance benefits.
The Eligibility and Records Reviewer provides one-on-one assessment of continuing UI eligibility.
Reemployment services include the development of an individual reemployment plan, resume assistance, provision of labor market information, quality job referrals, Wagner-Peyser enrollment, and WIOA orientation.
The Eligibility and Records Reviewer contributes to the integrity of the Unemployment Insurance Benefits Program by conducting quality eligibility reviews and adjudication to reduce improper payments.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and relevant training experience; or any equivalent combination of education, relevant training and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to Unemployment Insurance and the administration of the RESEA Program.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
Ability to communicate clearly and effective in-person and in written and oral form.
