Job Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the plant manager, responsible for the overall supervision, custody, and control of all inmates assigned to the industries plant/warehouse.
Makes continuous inspections of the warehouse and surrounding areas for compliance with security, safety & sanitation standards.
Conducts investigations of alleged misconduct on the part of inmates assigned to the area of responsibility.
Conducts formal and informal inmate counts.
Assists in instructing and directing inmates in program of discipline.
Oversees tool inventory and distribution to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Prepares reports as needed/required.
Performs duties of plant manager when necessary.
Schedule subject to change to meet industry demands.
Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Incumbent must satisfactorily complete all academic and on the job training by the South Carolina department of corrections.
