Laboratory Driver
Columbia, SC Columbia, SC Full-time Full-time JOB PURPOSE:
Laboratory Driver will ensure safe and expert delivery of lab and medical samples from PruittHealth pharmacies to Diagnostic Services in Norcross Georgia.
This includes, but not limited to conducting vehicle inspections before leaving the pharmacies, ensuring that all credentials required are on person before departing on route, practicing safe driving at all times, providing excellent customer service, communicating delivery issues, and reporting issues with vehicle to supervisor.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Act as a courier and driver for PruittHealth Laboratory and Diagnostic services.
Oversee blood and specimen product transportation for assigned locations and ensures accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Ensure all med products, samples and other items for shipments are prepared for transport according to established packing procedures.
Interact with PruittHealth clients and partners with a positive professional demeaner and excellent customer service skills.
Practice all PruittHealth safety, compliance, and quality control policies.
Load and unload lab and medical specimens, pharmaceuticals or related supplies and materials.
Able to operate company owned vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions, navigating routine hazards of the road.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints without close supervision.
Maintains accurate records on daily trip log, fuel purchases, vehicle condition, other records as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Able to utilize tools for efficient driving directions, including MapQuest and/or GPS units.
Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
Maintains confidentiality of company and patient information Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times.
Physical capability of light to medium lifting (up to 50lbs).
