Job Summary Assumes primary responsibility for oversight and management of the organization's insurance portfolio with a specific focus on identification and classification of risk to ensure optimum coverage, cost, and claim settlements.
Contributes to strategic coordination and execution of client marketing, servicing, and risk management activities, while following established industry and company guidelines.
Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to account teams, Corporate Legal, Corporate Properties, Executives and Producers for all aspects of risk management relative to client insurance needs and requirements with focus on ensuring that no liability is associated with errors and omissions.
Employs critical thought processes and the ability to analyze data, information, and exposure and recommend coverage needs that respond to the potential for loss.
Organizes complex data and information in a manner that is translatable to stakeholders at all levels and recommends actions that prevent or mitigate loss.
What You'll Do:
Analyze corporate exposure and potential for loss in comparison to existing insurance coverage and recommend/coordinate execution of policy modifications as needed.
Partner with Executive/Corporate stakeholders in the development of loss tolerance targets and reporting mechanisms necessary to measure performance to target.
Define risk appetite and tolerance ranges annually.
Align individual risk tolerances based on risk appetite and strategy.
Complete risk assessment and assess/assign severity.
Participate with development or propose budgetary targets for premium and claim activity based on current and forecasted exposure, market trends, historical data, and performance trends.
Track, categorize, and report loss trends and associated financial impact and develop/execute recommendations aimed at loss mitigation.
Participate in the management of carrier relations relative to the client portfolio and conduct periodic coverage audits, recommend coverage and/or policy changes, and may assist with carrier negotiations for the closing of new/renewal business.
Participate in the coordination of relationships with insurers, brokers, and third-party partners.
Serve as information/communication conduit between corporate stakeholders and account team, relative to coverage requirements and risk mitigation.
Proactively evaluate client operations and new products/services to ensure appropriate risk management.
Recommend and assist with implementation of measures to eliminate or mitigate the likelihood of claims and/or the severity of losses.
Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the servicing team and corporate stakeholders regarding policy administration activities.
Ensure that all parties are informed of risk management actions, questions, concerns, and/or any errors, discrepancies or changes as it relates to the account or insurance policies and facilitate appropriate/corrective action/s.
Remain abreast of all company policies and procedures to ensure development of required knowledge, execution, and compliance with standard operating procedures.
Insurance Risk Manager Partner with Operations leaders and corporate stakeholders to develop and implement best practices aimed at process efficiency, mitigation/elimination of errors and omissions liability, and risk management.
Continually seek to improve individual and team performance, including identifying, developing, implementing, communicating, and driving adoption of best practices.
Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry/market expertise.
Exercise discretion and independent judgement to ensure beneficial outcomes for client.

What We're Looking For:
? Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience with a concentration in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Risk Management, or Insurance ? Professional designation required (i.
e.
, CIC+ARM; CRM; RIMS-CRMP; PLUS-RPLU; CPCU) ? 8 years of industry experience; with 5
years of experience as a Risk Manager or Risk Analyst in the field of Insurance or Finance ? Possesses an in-depth knowledge of risk management, insurance brokerage business, finance, or property management and addressed client's needs ? Possesses the stature and experience needed to manage/oversee large, complete risk analysis ? Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills ? Excellent organizational, prioritization and delegation skills ? Exceptional customer advocacy skills ? Outstanding verbal/written communication skills ? Ability to perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy and attention to detail ? PC proficiency, including basic knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel ?
