Utilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description The purpose of the class is to perform skilled work in the inspection, maintenance and repair of the County's water and wastewater treatment plants and related equipment and facilities, and to perform other skilled and semi-skilled work as requiredThe class works within a general outline of work to be performed, and develops work methods and sequences under general supervisionRequires high school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training; technical diploma is desirableMust possess a valid state driver's licenseMust possess or be able to obtain a SC Commercial Driver's license within six months of hireMust possess Class D Water and/or Wastewater Operator licenses or be able to obtain one within two yearsRequires a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
