Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine to complex clerical/accounting functions such as inventory balancing, reconciliations, generating refund request letters, processing disbursements and deposits, keying journal entries and logging items in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas; general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area. Completes special projects and resolves routine problems.
Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
Or associate's degree in Accounting/Finance plus two years of experience supporting accounting or financial operations.
Or a high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of experience supporting accounting or financial operations.
Required Work
Experience:
Preferred:
Prior CES, PIRS, FIPS and insurance billing experience.
Extensive customer service background in an office setting
Required Skills and Abilities:
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good customer service skills.
Excellent organization skills.
Ability to pay attention to detail.
Strong business math skills.
Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Ability to use standard office equipment, including
computer
, printer, fax machine, email, phone, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
