sales manager
at out showroom in Columbia, SC! Primary Purpose
The Sales Manager's primary purpose is to meet and exceed both individual and store sales goals, while living our Customer Beliefs in a fast paced retail environment. Working closely with the store's General Manager, the Sales Manager will lead other members of the sales team by delivering on their individual sales goals, collaborating with other associates to execute our sales model and fulfilling the Position to Impact (P2I) requirements each week. Summary of Responsibilities
Creates an environment of hospitality, creativity and comfort with the customer
Meet and exceed all individual sales goals as prescribed by the company
Assists management in planning, developing and executing prospecting initiatives to increase customer traffic
Follows, supports, models and enforces company policies and procedures
Partners with the Store Management team to enhance the guest experience
Models a professional sales presence and guides customers through their purchasing decision by utilizing our sales process
Assists in opening and closing the store
Sets objectives, plans, organizes, and directs sales associates to meet objectives and maximize their potential while achieving their own personal sales objectives monthly
Offer sales associates advice, support, and motivation to help them meet their sales objectives
Maximizes merchandising efforts by controlling signage and floor display to ensure that they are attractive and welcoming
Assists in managing and communicating key management reports
Performs minor store maintenance duties prior to each shift
Performs additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of managementAdditional Areas of Responsibility
Increase store sales through execution of the Position to Impact (P2I) model by
Observing guest interactions on the sales floor and document observations on an observation form
Engaging with each guest to ensure they are receiving top-notch customer service
Providing in-the-moment coaching & feedback to sales associates on the sales floor
Ensuring that all guests are receiving the full assortment of solutions for their needs
Ensuring sales associates are utilizing downtime effectively by prospecting, scrimmaging, training, & cleaning
Assisting sales associates in the selling process and closing sales as needed
Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) at scheduled times:
Direct and oversee all general store responsibilities(non-sales related)
Resolve escalated customer issues
Oversee sales associate onboarding
Receive any customer inquiries
Oversee merchandising (pricing/promotional) displays
Ensure store & employees are 'guest-ready'
Ensure post-sale customer satisfaction
Address any facility maintenance issues
Receive shipments (i.e. AFI, Staples, UPS)
Manage/communicate any IT / Systems issues
Communicate with other departments within Broad River Furniture
Required Experience:
Qualifications
A passion for retail!
High energy with a sense of urgency
At least three years (3) experience in a big box retail management with a track record in retail or commissioned sales
History of successfully meeting and exceeding sales goals
Must have professional appearance, excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills
Able to work varied shifts, including evenings, all weekends and most major holidays
Ability to lift up to 25 lbsCompensation
The compensation range for a Sales Manager is commensurate with both experience and education. This role is mostly commission-based, with monthly bonuses available based on the store's overall performance

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
