Description
Paladin Consulting is currently hiring for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative to join our team working onsite at our client's office located inColumbia SC.
Work Hours 8 am- 5 pm
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative is responsible for the daily posting of cash and remittance advice to customers' accounts in the Oracle AR system. A key responsibility for this position is limiting the amount of unapplied payments. The AR rep must also process customer adjustments and offsets as well as manage technical problems that may occur during electronic data interchange (EDI) file loads and other system problems.
Primary Responsibilities
Operations Management
Post cash received daily to the Oracle AR system
Focus on resolving unapplied payments in a timely manner
Resolve any errors with incoming bank files
Correct auto cash application errors by leveraging various research methods to correctly apply payments to open invoices
Correct AR entry errors
Load large manual remittances into Oracle AR
Notify customers of payment errors and work to proactively correct customer behavior
Post and reverse manually as necessary
Resolve complex unmatched items as necessary
Assist with month-end close as determined by supervisor
Technical
Assist with system testing and implementing system enhancements when required
Align AR systems with Client systems to ensure accurate transfer of Lockbox data
Efficiently run and operate bank tools to easily reconcile bank receipts to Oracle receipts
Utilize computing skills to create solutions for large files and unformatted data received from customers and the bank
Relationship Management
Maintain positive work relationships with members of other teams to whom information is provided or from whom information is gathered
Assist in establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal (Sales leadership, Corporate, etc.) and external customers to identify additional ways to be of service and ensure customer satisfaction
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred
Minimum 1 year of related work experience
Basic understanding of cash application principles
Ability to quickly enter data via 10-key
Ability to demonstrate analytical thinking
Ability to coordinate with other internal departments to deliver seamless service to customers
Ability to assess a problem and promptly resolve it or escalate it to a supervisor
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Self motivated, willing to learn, and a team player
Ability to understand and navigate different file formats: Microsoft Excel, Word, and various text file formats
Ability to convert files to and from different formats (i.e., Text files into Excel files, Word data into Excel)
Ability to quickly pull data via on line tools
Ability to be flexible with position duties and scope of work
Ability to work well in a team atmosphere

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
