Job
Summary:
This job is responsible for day to day information security operational functions as directed by the Information Security Officer. Responsibilities include: responding to service request tickets, performing and documenting assessments, audits and investigations, responding to and documenting information security incidents, analyzing data to offer solutions and processes to mitigate risk. Also serves as a resource for information security awareness and training and as a consultant to recommend solutions based on the customer needs within the organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
Performs security assessments including physical and logical information security access and authorization reviews, penetration and vulnerability tests.
Analyzes assessment data and makes recommendations to mitigate risk.
Participates in gathering information in support of investigations for both internal and external customers.
Participates in handling information security incidents.
Serves as a primary resource for the development and delivery of information education and training.
Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organization based on needs of the customers and in alignment with organizational initiatives.
Provides input in security strategy discussion by remaining knowledgeable on new information security
technology, regulations and standards in the healthcare environment.
Requirements:
Education: BS in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in information technology preferably information security in a healthcare environment-experience with a variety of operating systems, network operating systems, applications, databases, security tools, development methodologies, and Web technologies.
License, Registry, or Certification Required:License for non-product specific information security such as CISSP, SSCP etc., or willingness to acquire such certification.
Special Training: Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills, and excellent verbal/written communication skills
