A Level II RT NDT Technician is needed for a renowned Asset Protection & NDT Organization. The Level II RT Technician is responsible to perform NDT inspections throughout a Power Generation facility. Qualified candidates must have 5
years of RT experience, preferably in a power generation environment, and a state or IRRSP card. Candidates working on new construction projects are also desired. This is a long term construction project slated to last 5
years' at a minimum. Our client is seeking to engage the services the Level II RT NDT Technician on a contract basis, with the intentions to hire them direct after 9-12 months. This position will require a large amount of overtime and work in a variety of climatic conditions. The opportunity may be located in Columbia, South Carolina, or Augusta, Georgia. Per Diem is available for the first 6 months.
Responsibilities for the NDT Technician
Perform and utilize NDT Methods and inspections
Interpret identified discontinuities to determine their cause and/or whether they meet customer and code specifications
Evaluate problem areas; notify engineers as needed
Interpret and identify surface and subsurface discontinuities
Requirements for the NDT Technician
Level II RT Certified, with the ability to present all applicable certifications throughout your career
Additional Level II certifications including MT, PT, UT and ET are highly desired
5
years' of hands on NDT inspection experience
Must hold a State or IRRSP card
Candidates must have experience testing in a power plant environment; experience with new construction projects is desired
Must be NDT certified by our client including testing for proficiency with NDT Methods, Procedures and Practical Applications
Must pass a stringent background and drug screen
Candidates must be able and comfortable climb to heights of 50
feet, work in confined spaces, and perform work in a variety of climatic conditions
