## Job Description
The successful candidate for the Systems Engineer role in the Enterprise Sales Division at Brocade will perform the core systems engineering role as an individual contributor - specializing in pre-sales activities of the Brocade product line. This engineer's primary focus will be to drive technical end-to-end solutions into our clients as part of a sales team targeted with ensuring Brocade customer preference within the sales campaign. Pre-sales activities may include solution development, technical presentations, executive meetings, design documentation creation, proposal writing, and leading key customer proof of concepts in addition to direct customer engagement in support of the sales team's objectives. Key to an individual's success in this role is strong communication skills both written and verbal. This role may take specific project leadership as required.
High level of direct customer interaction, often working independently with customers.
Regular interaction with peers and managers inside and outside of own work group.
Technical lead within a sales team to ensure Brocade preference.
Understand customer business needs and to be able to reflect business benefit through proposed solution using a consultative approach.
Communicate and demonstrate Brocade solutions to customer base.
Conduct or participate in customer meetings related to solutions, systems architectures, design and overall deployment.
Assist with the implementation and installation of Brocade technology at customer sites and systems integrator lab environments.
Develop and deliver partner and customer training as required.
## Qualifications/Job Responsibilities
3-5 years experience in a Pre-Sales Engineering role working with LAN technologies
At least 10 years industry experience
Experience in a customer facing role
Effective technical presentation skills to all customer audience levels - technical to executive
Good Communication capabilities, verbal and written
Strong knowledge of IP Networking layers 1 through 7, LAN switches, routers, and TCP/IP.
Comfortable with technical and business English usage (documents reading, e-mails, conference calls )
BS EE or CS or similar; or equivalent work experience
IP Networking certifications are highly preferred.
