A Large Carolina multi-office Law Firm is seeking a litigation paralegal for their Columbia office
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Type 65
wpm
5 years of litigation paralegal experience (NO MORE THAN 7 YEARS EXPERIENCE)
Trial experience a plus
Paralegal certificate and/or college degree
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and accommodate rush requests
Must be a team player, willing to help other team members during peak times
Superior technology skills, using Microsoft Office Suite, Summation, Case Notebook, Trial Director (Relativity & Concodance experience is acceptable)
DAY TO DAY REPSONSIBILITIES:
Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents;
Communications with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and experts;
Review and summarize depositions, and other discovery materials;
Trial preparation, including electronic presentations;
Assist attorneys at trial, coordinate witnesses and manage trial exhibits;
Manage electronic databases associated with e-discovery;
Assist with document productions;
Internet research;
Cite check and shepardize briefs; and
Electronic filings.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
