POSITION: Mathematics Instructor
DEPARTMENT: Mathematics

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Teaches six sections of mathematics courses and demonstrates effective interaction skills; assists in the selection and development of course materials; advises students; develops professional competencies to improve knowledge, skills, and proficiency on an on-going basis; serves on departmental and college wide committees and performs public service for the department; keeps office hours; submits reports of instructional activity; participates in the collection and analysis of data pertaining to student learning outcomes and competencies; may be required to teach classes at multiple campus and off-campus sites, including high schools.
MINIMUM
Qualifications: Master-s degree with 18 or more graduate semester hours in Mathematics. Must possess demonstrated excellence in teaching, preferably in a community or two-year college dealing with students with diverse academic backgrounds. Candidates should be able to teach a wide variety of mathematics courses from elementary algebra through calculus. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates with demonstrated effective use of educational technology preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
