with Linux distributions,
LAMP stacks and
installing/configuring
open source and COTS
solutions, including
compiling from source
o Must have a security
mindset
o Must have 2
years'
experience with Microsoft
and open source
databases
o 10
years of general
I.T. experience in a
government agency or
environment with over 500
users
o 2
years of
experience with
firewalls, LAN and WAN
infrastructure
o Ability to
communicate effectively,
verbally and in writing,
to interact effectively
with internal and
external vendors, project
team members, management
and agency departments,
to build relationships
and use facilitation
skills with both
technical and
non-technical personnel
o Ability to write,
edit, and prepare graphic
presentations of
technical information for
both technical and
business personnel
o Experience in
organizing information in
a way that is appropriate
for technical
explanations without
losing sight of the needs
and aptitude of the
audience
o Ability to
collaborate and
coordinate with multiple
teams and vendors
o Ability to work
independently and as a
member of a team
o Ability to multitask
and prioritize tasks
effectively in order to
meet deadlines
o Must be intermediate
to advanced skills in
additional Microsoft
Office products (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
and working with
templates and style
guidelines for branding
consistency
o Keen attention to
detail while maintaining
the ability to see the
big picture
o Ability to absorb and
retain complex processes
o Strong English
language skills
o Demonstrable
understanding of the
rules of English grammar
and usage
o Ability to accept
changes and constructive
criticism in a fast
turn-around environment.
Desirable Requirements : o BS degree in computer
science or similar
discipline
o Prior experience in
government agencies
subject to FISMA
o Prior experience in
working with eGRC systems
