National Guard Membership is Required : This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the South Carolina ArmyNational Guard. This position is located in an information management organization . Directs administrative services in support of widely dispersed professional, technical, military and support personnel of the _National Guard statewide_. The responsibilities of the branch are accomplished through a staff of less than 3 subordinates.

General Experience Required
Experience, education or training in administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided knowledge of support services. Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures used in planning, organizing work, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems.
Specialized Experience Required
In addition to the General Experience required, to qualify at the GS-09 grade level you must:
Possess at least 24 months experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for support service functions required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience planning and directing a variety of clerical operations. Experience using methods and procedural steps, and working under general instructions to meet the objectives of support services programs.
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience -Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements. One full academic year of graduate-level education is creditable for GS-7; 2 years or a master's or equivalent graduate degree is creditable for GS-9.

Foreign education: Your transcripts must have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in evaluating foreign credentials in order to be acceptable.

Other Requirements -For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Employees selected for full-time positions that require mandatory training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) will have 12 months from the date of hire to complete the required course(s). Failure to complete NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC for new personnel within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment or termination.
Enlisted Cash Bonuses: Acceptance of a technician position may affect any bonus and/or educational assistance that may be applicable. Your bonus may be terminated and repayment may be required.
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) cost is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the interst of the Government.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
