DESCRIPTION
The SSRS Developer/Analyst is needed to perform design and development for integrating various data sources involved in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) project. The job involves analysing and querying various data sources in relational and non-relational format. The Developer/Analyst will be the main point person responsible for developing various programs, objects and routines required to load data in an EDW, and ensure the integrity and high quality of the data. The Developer/Analyst will perform requirements gathering and system analysis, data analysis, data mapping, logical Datamodelling, functional design, discover data anomalies, and recommend/implement data quality improvements. Additionally, based on business needs and requirements, develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports, applications and build/configure dashboards and report repositories.
The SSRS Developer/Analyst will also be responsible for creation, design and administration of cubes.
Additional responsibilities include:
Ability to respond to Ad Hoc reporting requests with high quality data on time. Must be able to respond to changing priorities in a calm and polite manner. Create and maintain repeatable processes and queries to respond to Ad Hoc reporting/data requests. Design, build, maintain and administer Business Intelligence reports, cubes and dashboards for end user querying. Monitor and respond to Ad Hoc requests for data and resolve tickets in a timely manner. Design and develop Business Intelligence reports and dashboards. Create efficient and reusable batch processes. Incorporate and build parameters and implement drilling features in reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create connections to data sources, perform data analysis and collaborate with source data SMEs to understand data structures, relationships and hierarchies. Design and create ETL processes and routines for integrating data sources. Design and build BI reports and dashboards for end user querying. Create and maintain documents related to business processes, ETL mapping and BI design. Coordinate and communicate with business users, technical experts, SMEs and management to gather and document requirements. Participate in high level design and architecture discussions and be part of a highly skilled data warehouse team.
REQUIRED Skills and experience
At least 3 years' experience building reports/dashboards using SSRS, SSAS Experience working in an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment Solid Data Analysis skills Proven ability to write complex SQL queries; programs, routines and components Experience turning business scenarios into reporting requirements Good knowledge and experience understanding logical mapping and Datamodelling to build Physical Design Document. Proficiency with reporting and ETL tools Understanding of Kimball DW Methodology Knowledge of MS Visual Studio Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
