THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
This individual will be able to complete defined engineering product development projects at the direction of Engineering Management. They should possess the skills to understand project structure, scheduling and budgets, and ISO quality requirements as it relates to product offerings.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
BSME or similar 4-year engineering degree. Candidates that do not meet this requirement will be evaluated based upon their experience and competence with firearm mechanisms
Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Standards
Competency with Ansys, Adams, and / or Pro/Mechanica design analysis software a plus.
CAD experience - prefer Pro/E (Creo), but will consider other systems if experience is good
CETOL software experience is a plus.
Must have 5-10 years of mechanical product design, preferably in firearms.
Must have 5
years of pistol design experience a plus
Needs experience taking a product from concept to production.
Must be physically capable and willing to work with firearms, including at times extensive testing (e.g. durability tests)
Must have experience with GD&T. Prefer someone who can show evidence of training, and demonstrate fluency.
Must display an ability and history of running small projects on his/her own, but also willing to take direction from a project manager
Prefer someone with a broad experience in design for product manufacturing processes (casting, machining, injection molding, stamping, etc.)
Qualified candidate should have a machining background or a very strong understanding of the processes
Prefer someone with a metallurgy training background
Prefer someone with experience in new and advanced coating technologies
Willing to travel domestically as needed to support development projects
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
