THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
This position directs the activities of four (4) contract professionals from simple to highly complex contractural arrangements. There is a strong focus on government contraction methods. Position directs identification, development and implementation of the entire range of contract formation, negotiation, and administration of policies and processes.
Establish and revise contract policies and processes as needed
Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities of the contracts function
Integrate role with other functions of the business - legal, finance, operations, and sales
Provide contract guidance and leadership in complex negotiations
Identification of career development and training opportunities for contract professionals reporting to this position
Responsible for staffing and budget levels in the contracts division
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
10 or more years of US government contracting and commercial contracting experience
Management experience in a related role
Familiarity with ERP systems (QAD preferred) is beneficial
Bachelors degree with experience in manufacturing, aero/defense industry is beneficial - advanced degree preferred
International contracting experience is a plus
Knowledge of federal procurement laws and regulations
Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) preferred
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
