Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining the following: ammonia compressors, refrigeration equipment, assets, processes and areas as required eliminating downtime, unsafe conditions, USDA issues and Food Safety concerns; maintaining and managing the Facility's PSM program. Other duties include: actively participate in and insure compliance with stringent plant safety policies and procedures and food safety programs; work, hands on as with Maintenance Techs to educate and develop them in order to ensure OSHA compliance with PSM; verification of all equipment SOP's and lockout procedures have been reviewed on an annual basis and that operating certificates are current. Other responsibilities include: conduct and actively participate in plant monthly PSM meetings; participate in other maintenance repair/PM activities such as, HACCP/USDA related issues; ensure that repairs on processing equipment are completed within food safety guidelines; required to perform various hands on job duties as assigned by the plant engineer and/or Plant Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; prefer post-high school education to include special training, certification programs, vocational school, military training, and/or college classes.

Experience: 3 years management minimum experience within industrial maintenance refrigeration field or technical related background.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office; Outlook, enter data into document templates or creating simple queries.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.

Special Skills: Ability to work hands on with Maintenance Techs required due to the plant size and capacity; must be highly organized with time management and archiving of information; general mechanical abilities, ammonia refrigeration equipment. In addition fabrication skills, welding, using an oxy-acetylene cutting torch, a plus; general knowledge of the MMS is helpful; required to become respirator/SCBA certified.

Supervisory: Responsible for managing and educating hourly maintenance technicians and Refrigeration Supervisor to perform quality workmanship necessary to maintain efficient plant operations and OSHA compliance.


Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year (includes training and seminars)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
