THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
The Program Manage is responsible for the launch of customer and product programs. This individual will provide leadership, management, oversight and principle liaison activities for all aspects of their assigned programs. Their purpose is to coordinate the cross-functional efforts to launch new products or programs through the industrialization process from a released design through the handoff to normal production. This individual reports direct to the Director of Operations for the manufacturing facility.
Responsible for managing customer or product programs
Assemble and direct the program team
Understand customer requirements and communicate them to the customer team.
Ensure the program team meets or exceeds all customer and company requirements
Set and Communicate program targets and budget
Provide status updates(cost, timing, milestones, risks, delays, etc.) to direct supervisor and the executive staff on a regular basis
Responsible for organizing and leading internal program meetings and customer integrated Product Team Meetings.
Coordinate technical aspects of customer programs with internal engineering departments
Responsible for the successful launch from industrialization through the handoff to normal production by coordinating the activities of all internal functions on the program team including purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, production control, manufacturing, product engineering, logistics, contracts, and final operations.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
Bachelors in engineering, contracts management, or related field
Five years experience program management
Familiar with standard program management concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
Understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment
Strongly prefer advanced degree and/or PMP certification
Experience with USG contracts and proposals
Knowledge of firearm production is amajor plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
