Litigation Legal Secretary

A Columbia, SC law firm that specializes in products liability law is seeking a Legal Secretary
DAY TO DAY
Responsibilities:
assist attorneys, paralegals and case assistants
Organize documents
Have time management and workflow mentality for smooth running of the firm
Type 60
wpm
Prepare legal documents and correspondence
Save documents and emails to case management system
Scheduling depositions, meetings, and other calendar commitments
Making travel arrangements
Enter and process expense reports
Enter billable and non-billable time for approved timekeepers
Type up disbursement sheets
Handle switchboard as FIRST priority, answering calls with a smile and processing calls, transferring and/or taking electronic messages via outlook
Support and assist team members where needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associates degree or 7
years experience in a law firm setting
Must be a fast-paced team and play a critical role in the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.
Must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
Must also possess superior attention to detail
Must be able to multi-task.
Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office Suite
Strong legal calendaring skills a must
Flexibility for working in a fast-paced litigation practice
Ability to work occasional overtime when the need arises
Must be a team player
Ability to lift case file boxes
Litigation experience a must (product liability experience preferred)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
